The Military Vehicle Preservation Association east coast rally will be at Aberdeen's Cal Ripken Stadium May 15-17. Admission is free. Huge outdoor market of vehicles and parts. Also lots of military surplus and some gun parts.

If you're going, take today or Friday off from work and go during the day. If you wait until the evening, everything is closed up and people are out to dinner. Early Saturday is good, but the deals are gone.

I have been able to do some decent haggling after noon on Saturday when people don't feel like packing the shit up for the 100th time.

I remember as a kid going there and watching the live firings. Man that was cool. Airborne drops too.

I think that all stopped after 9/11.
