Marylanders:

Greetings from your neighbor in Virginia.  Sorry if this is a question that has been discussed to death; however, I'm not well versed in Maryland's new laws.  A friend of mine is moving to Maryland and his dad is giving him a Glock 23 .40.  What does he need to do, if anything, to bring to gun from VA to MD.  Does he need the permit or is that just to buy in state.  What about the 13 round magazines?  Can he bring them or does he need to buy 10 rounders?  Thanks guys!

As long as it's transferred BEFORE he is a MD resident it make make things much easier.

He's good to go on the 13 rounders (as long as HE brings them in from out of state).

The one thing I can't answer is if the previously voluntary registration of handguns is not mandatory for people newly moving in.  I'm hoping Bronz or someone can answer that.

Thanks for the info.  In VA, we don't have to register; therefore, would he have to register it somehow coming in? Paperwork? Inspection?
