I have a buddy who says he saw someone do this a couple years ago in a shotgun zone.
If that's the case, I'll build out a pistol lower and just slap an 11.5" or 12.5" upper on it for deer hunting rather than switch barrels on my $200 pawn shop special 870.

It's legal with correct caliber, i.e. 300 Blackout. I stopped at Alex Pro Firearms and this was one of their selling points of their pistols with Sig Brace.

It's legal with any centerfire .220 caliber and above to be exact, soft point/expanding HP bullet required as usual. I did it a couple years back, haven't gone out since then but the shotgun restrictions are stupid.

Excellent, thanks guys. Maybe I'll bring out one of my BLK uppers instead of a 5.56 this year. I've got a pistol tube sitting around and a few lowers with build kits so I can slap something together in less than an hour.
So excited to not use a stupid 12ga! This year's gonna be fun

I think OAL cannot be more than 26".
Good luck!

I can do that, outside of the suppressor. Does the suppressor count in OAL?

Only if it is permanent. Same goes for any muzzle device.

Sweet! My Omega is definitely not pinned to any of my short barrels, BLK or 5.56

Can you post where you found info on overall length? I can't seem to find it.

That's because there isn't any, MN follows the federal defnitions which don't have a Min/Max OAL for pistols. The only thing I'd be careful of is letting anyone see you shouldering a Sig Brace as the DNR squirrel sheriff will most likely consider it a violation.

AFAIK anything over 26" and not a rifle is considered a "generic title 1 firearm" because it does not fall under any legal definition in federal law.

The underlined "or" makes non-attorney me think it's fine.
