I grew up there and have zero input... I did hear the red mile has slot machines now, maybe full casino. Malones in Hamburg has become one of our favorites when we are there(I moved to the country). My wife wants to try breakout lexington, it's one of those hidden/escape rooms. Champs roller dome? Or lexington ice center?

Since you mentioned horses, there's always the Ky Horse Park http://www.kyhorsepark.com/
Tour any of the numerous distilleries in the area http://kybourbontrail.com/ Via ferrata assisted rock climbing in the nearby Red River Gorge http://torrentfalls.com/ Kayak through a flooded underground mine, also in the Red River Gorge https://www.thrillsville.org/underground-adventure If they're into history there's the Mary Todd Lincoln house in downtown Lex http://www.mtlhouse.org/ Live music at the Cheapside Pavilion on Thurs nights in downtown Lex http://www.downtownlex.com/central-bank-thursday-night-live/ Drinks/food/ice cream at any of the establishments in the Old Pepper Distillery campus just outside of downtown Lex http://www.peppercampus.com/about.html Eat some good BBQ at Red State http://www.redstatebbq.com/ Wallace Station is also a good local eatery http://www.wallacestation.com/ |

My favorite winery would be Wildside Winery. http://www.wildsidewinery.com/ I was just there today. They let you pick fruit and give you half of what pick for free. Right now blackberries are just starting to come on.
