Was Sad to hear about Aaron, He will be Greatly Missed!
As for the shoot I will hope fully be attending with several other Members and a couple guests! |

If need be, I can bring some food from the Joy Luck and bring some Gift Certificates to raffle off!

I have a work thing around that time. Not sure if I'll get the one that takes me out of the country up north or down south. If it's the south one (which it probably will be), we'll plan on coming and bringing a cooler full of water and soda again like last year to keep the thirsties at bay.
We had a lot of fun meeting people and ogling toys. Big thanks to Jeep for letting the Mrs. shoot her first FA (and I had some fun on it too ). We should have some cooler toys to bring this year. |

Aaron will be missed. He was a really nice guy to be around.
J29, thanks for taking the lead again this year. I am hoping to be able to make it this year. |
|
Sounds like a good time! I'd really like to attend this year. That'll be the saturday after the second week of my academy class so I might not want to leave my bed.

Whatever happened to the guy that handled the shoot several years ago? I think his forum name was Stump, stick, log or something like that. Pretty cool guy. I can still see him in those knee high boots (not an enticing thought) running through the mud taking pics. He should be celebrating his 5th wedding anniversary soon. It would be nice if this could be a reunion shoot.

I think it would be safe to say that 50% of the crowd are returning members who make it out to most of the shoots and the remaining 50% is a combination of those who come out occasionally and brand new folks. Out of all the attendees I'd say there are less than 10 that I see more than once a year. I do wish more of the old folks would come out though. |

We would be coming from a few hrs away. What time do things usually wrap up? Anyone going to stay in the area?
|
|
There is no official end time. It usually winds down around 3 or 4. In the past there have been after-school dinners, camping, etc but again, there is no real plan for this either. The only real plan is the official start time is 9am and lunch around noon.

Will anyone happen to be bringing a Gemtech HALO?
I'd like to take a look at one and hear 1st hand feedback on it. Particularly the earlier (2013) model. |

I was mainly interested in the way the HALO mounts with the collar that goes over the flash hider. I'm fairly sure that the new models use the BFA groove of a NATO FH, but I'm not sure if the 2013 ones use the BFA groove, the back of the FH, the front of the FH, etc., or how they look, how quick on/off is, how well they stay put, POA shift, etc. |

Any word on camping?
Camping Friday saves us a early morning drive on Saturday. |
