For those of you that carry C&R handguns, how do you go about questioning from the police. The handgun serial # is in your personal bound book and not in any data base. Was thinking of carrying my Polish P-64 on occasion

I guess you would explain that the sales record database is inaccurate and there is no requirement to register a handgun.

Also what if you are carrying a new gun which hasn't made it onto the list yet.

So what if the serial number isn't in the state's weapons registry. There are probably thousands if not tens of thousands of firearms not listed in the weapons registry. For example if one moved into this state with handguns those are NOT in the state's weapons registry unless one chose to register them (for what ever stupid reason with the state). If you obtained a firearm prior to the statutes mandating paperwork for handgun transfers/sales, that firearm wouldn't be in the state's weapons registry. The weapon's registry is well known to be full of errors.
