Agreed.   That's my price range, but the fact that it's out of line, makes me pass.

The last batch of there were almost all prebans. You can call aim and insted of getting a magazine they will work with you on getting a Preban serial number.

M60 joe can fix it or you can alter the upper to fit the out of spec lower, the fix is fairly cheap, I would have it reanodized

I actually called them about these Glocks, but decided I didn't want to spring for a 9mm suppressor!

Sure, it can be fixed, but is it worth it?  To bring it into spec, and refinish it has to be far more than $200, and nice preban lowers are all over in the $700 range.  And besides, it's ugly!

That decision is up to the potential buyer. Without a letter confirming preban status.. I would have no interest, cause I like to nfa Errthing!

It would be great for someone looking to rattle can a gun. Inpick up lowers that have bad finishes for cheap and duracoat them. $30 worth of duracoat does 4-5 lowers. As for it being out of spec...just fit a dedicated upper, no biggie.

It's a CNC pre ban AR lower.  I'm surprised it lasted this long, how the hell else can you gy a CNC lower without being in the protected class?

I'll venture to say that every lower was CNC machined in mass production.
Unless the CNC acronym means something else in this case

Missed that. There is a nearly identical one on there as well, but the starting price is $1800.

If so, what's the going rate?

There really is not a huge market for them. More for the all metal parts than anything else. Mini 14 pre bans have value.

But once you sbr it its an AW due to OAL length, so you might need to get one regardless.

The other concern with respect to SBRing a rifle in Connecticut is the implication of the definition of a pistol (any firearm with a barrel less than 12" long) in conjunction with assault weapons feature test for pistols/
