Today's build, 6.8SPC upper using a Spikes Tactical upper, FN bolt carrier housing a 6.8 bolt, standard charging handle, Samson Evo 4 EX rail, Armalite clamp on FSB and A2 flash hider.

I'm trying to figure out a good way to install the bottom rail section under the FSB so I can use a handstop.

Damn I like the way that looks and I really like that FSB. I don't think I've ever seen a clamp on like that, or at least I never noticed it.

Is the rail/stop going to be a permanent fixture? You could possibly install it using the supplied hardware, and then grind the heads of the bolts down until it fits underneath. Not really "permanent", but it could be a real pain in the ass to move/remove.

I want to mount a 2in rail section in the two slotted holes under the FSB.  The problem is the backing of the rail section won't clear the FSB.  The rail and FSB are already tight, having to cut the sling mount off.  We are thinking of cutting the mounting bracket of rail section in half.

I had to troll the EE to get this clamp on.  They go pretty fast when posted.

Swapped out the delta ring for the slip ring today.

Whats the difference between the slip and the delta ring? I know what a delta ring is, and looking at the slip I can see it doesn't taper down. Anything else?

Just a coolness factor of plus infinity.

Haha no, aside from being a retro part, the only other thing is that it's a little tougher to install/remove handguards, which is why it was replaced by the angled delta ring.

My measly pistol set up. Bcm 11.5 with bcm bcg, magpul pro rear, Magpul grip, aimpoint, bcm ch, phase5 extension, spring and buffer, ssa, and sbx. Little long for a pistol, but bcm doesn't sell a 10.5. Anyone wanna help install my rail?? I'm sure I could do it, but I have never removed a fsb and would rather not fuck it up.

Lots of nice stuff posted today.

Zeg- love that FDE. Never seen it on a  field shotgun, looks better than I thought it would have.

B-R I love that  IDF / KISS rifle. Everything about it. I might make that my first SBR someday.

Pretty damn cool man!  I mean not for the teller.....
Are there exit holes?

Shot with 556 and 308 at 50 yds.

Nasty exit holes. Teller would be blasted with bullet fragments and chunks of the plastic glass itself.

This stuff is the layered plastic, probably only good for pistol rounds. I have a bigger piece of actual glass that weighs a ton. Still gotta shoot that one

How thick? I've got a few off cuts from a few bank jobs I worked on. I've always wanted to shoot it to see how it holds up.

Funny thing about the teller lines, they feal safe behind the bullet proof glass, but just lower the gun, most banks do not fortify the cabinet work with Kevlar, it's just 3/4 inch thick ply with plastic laminate.

It's really not glass, it's polycarbonate. Those sheets are heavy, a 6x8 sheet of polycarbonate weights 450 pounds. Try running one of those sheets through a table saw.

I'm a part time cabinet maker. The shop I used to work for had a contract with a  bank out of NY. We did a lot of new branches and renovations on existing branches. One job we did in Manhatten, on the 20th floor of one of these financial institutions, what a pain in the ass. No parking, we'ed drive around the block,  waiting to unload. You had to grease the building manager just to get in the service elivator. There would be a line of contractors trying to get on the elivator, the manager would pick who was next in line. If you had a 4 man crew, every member had to grease the manager so that he would remember you.

Actually a DLO built off of a Ruger MkII bull barrel.  Amphibians were really hard to find and a lot of people think mine is one.  They are very close dimensionally.  My barrel is slightly longer.   It has a Volquartsen trigger and sear and a Volquartsen lightened bolt.  It will cycle any subsonic I have run through it.  Very very quiet too.

^Thats cool man!  Wheres the belt strap around the pole?
I never got to climb a pole like that, only got to use the pegs on the poles.

When you need a new set of climbers/gaffs on Frontiers dime, I know where you can dipose of those old, used, garbage climbers

The belt is there, I guess the pic is looking through the gap. It's around the pole, clips to D rings on the body belt.

These are my original gaffs. Almost 18 yrs. but, stuff falls of the trucks all the time
