The SR-25 build sounds like a lot of fun. But just curious. Since factory KAC parts are vaporware (except for that set for sale in the EE for a fortune), how much do DPMS, LMT or other parts add up to? With the cost of the receiver kits plus the parts, doesn't it come close to the price of a pre-ban SR-25? They are around. I found a minty pre-ban for $4400 on another site that the guy ended up taking $4000 for. Just asking.

I will probably spend all of that and then some building it up right with quality parts. Since I didn't have $4400 sitting around, $1600 for the receiver set was the next best thing. This was probably my only chance at a 308 battle riffle. Mike |

I thought about buying a setup but KAC stuff is real pricey. It is also hard to find.
I have 4 80% lowers I machined and registered. They are DPMS style lowers. I need to coat or anodize them and build them up. One will be SBR for my suppresor that is in jail. I would really like an SR25 for the collection. $4000 is a good price but I can build 3 of my LR308 rifles for that money. |

Only thing left for me to pick up is a urx 3.1, adjustable gas block and muzzle brake. Could've done it for a lot less, but it's been fun so far and this will be exactly how I want it. Wish I had the funds to add a 24" pre ban sr25 too, but that's unfortunately not in the cards. |

I choose not to purchase from OSOE. Owner is too much of a douchbag for me. And my DB limits are very very high. But they do have some sweet gear. Good thing is there is a lot of nice gear companies to choose from. |
