Today was much cooler and you can see rolling storms in the background. It was an awesome experience. You could see the clouds come whipping up the mountain at us. They would engulf you and drop visibility to a few dozen feet at times. Kind of exhilarating. You could see it coming and knew you'd have a minute or two so you'd look ahead and take a few mental notes. Only once did we hunker down because we were on a very narrow part of the trail right at a cliffs edge and visibility got very poor. 5 minutes later, sunny again.

Zeke was a champ and gave zero fucks. He led the entire way and nothin slowed him down except us.

Very true. I had a buddy call me yesterday, I haven't talked to him in a few years and the memories he brought up were crazy! Things I hadn't though or talked about in a LONG time. It was great catching up a d reminiscing. While I miss those days and they're great to look back on I wouldn't changey current situation for anything!

Thanks guys! We're definitely gonna try for kids now. I realized at some point over the last couple years that I'm not going to live long enough to accomplish everything I want, so I'd better start making kids to do it for me!

And we need more voters!

My favorite shots of my best "man" from the big day. The second shot was from our "first look" I couldn't get him to turn around and face the same direction as me, he insisted on looking at my wife the whole way. I can't blame him.

This is just a cut and paste from the Precision Rifle forum.  Finally done.

Full SAC build.

Manners T4 with KMW loggerhead hardware in flectarn camo, Remington 700 action completely gone through, Bartlein 18.5" barrel, 1/8 twist and threaded.  Fully bedded action.

Timney trigger, Surgeon bottom metal, AI mags, Atlas bipod and Accushot monopod.  Spiral fluting on barrel (and bolt body to match) by Kampfield Customs.  Black cerakote.

Hensoldt 4-16x56 NH1 in Spuhr 4001 mount with Spuhr Radius/RAPTOR rail.  Radius laser rangefinder.

I have to set up the remote switch for the Radius and obviously re-arrange the front AADMOUNT objective lens cap.

The only thing I am missing and cannot find anywhere is a SF FH556-215A flash hider to mount my SF 556K suppressor.  I have seen a couple of 212As but not a 215A.  They'll find the Arc of the Covenant before I find one.  With my luck, the few left are probably inside the Arc.

Pics to come as soon as Photobucket stops fucking with me.

VICTORY IS MINE!!!!!

I wanted a trio consisting of a .223, a.308 and a .338.  I have a lot of ammunition in all three calibers that's why the new calibers of the month never appeal to me although they might be great.

At Metacon, you are STILL limited to 100yds and that's where I go 95% of the time.  I can get .223 FGMM 77gr for 30% less than .308 FGMM 175gr.  I only shoot steel and it will never know the difference.  Lower price, same accuracy, lower recoil plus being a blast to shoot.

Now like many reloaders forget, while they can make cheaper per round ammo, you are not ahead until you amortize all of the equipment, powder, dies, bullets, primers, brass, sundries, etc.  It takes a long time to break even but if you shoot a lot, eventually you will.  I figure I would have to shoot about 11,500 rds not counting at least two barrel changes to make up the $8k on this rig. Math was never my strong point which is why I'm a lawyer and not a doctor.

Nice rig BTW.  Love Scalpels.  And it's refreshing to see a .260 instead of yet ANOTHER 6.5CM.  Nothing wrong with the 6.5 but if you reload, the .260 can be superior.
