A several months ago I got an email from Alexander Arms saying they had got the first of the new Wolf steel cased 6.5 Grendel in and wanted to offer me first chance at it before it went public but while I appreciated the offer,  I couldn't afford to buy any.  So after that I forgot all about it until a few days ago when I got an Email from Alexander Arms saying Bill had requested they send me "complimentary" ammunition and they needed me to verify my address.

I was pretty surprised, I've never heard of a business giving away ammo.  I'm still not sure why they were offering but I was curious to try the new Wolf stuff so I verified my address and thanked them.  The more I thought about it, I guessed they would send a box of the ammo as sort of a sample, so that's what I was expecting.

Today, I get a box from AA with 5 boxes of ammo! They sent me 100 rounds !!! Why? I still don't know but I'm extremely thankful!  I've had a few dealings with Bill Alexander and he's always taken the time to help me even though my Grendel isn't an AA.  He's a standup guy, if you're interested in a Grendel, consider AA, I can guarantee the customer service is fantastic.

I know right? I can't figure why but I sure am thankful, there was no way I could have afforded it myself.  Such a nice guy.

I have shot some of it, not bad. Only thing I noticed, I had to clean the chamber before going back to brass case-after only 10 rounds. The brass started sticking in the chamber, NEVER had that happen with any other steel case in several different calibers. Great score!

From what I've heard it's more accurate than people originally thought.  Obviously, not Hornady Match accuracy but better than what folks are used to with Wolf.  I'm really looking forward to trying it out.  I still need to do the final dialing in of the scope with Hornady A-Max but after that I'll try the Wolf.

Unfortunately, I had to go out yesterday for our twice monthly grocery trip and it really messed me up.  I'm laid up in the worst pain I've experienced in years, even on heavy pain meds I can barely stand .  This really sucks and absolutely miserable

I get right around 2" groups at 100. Hornady 123 SST around 3/4", going to try Wolf Gold when it thaws a little. Sorry for your pain, I can understand it, had back (2nd time) and knee surgery (3 weeks apart) last year from  work injury.
