They arrested 5% of the town population, and it looks like they want to arrest another 5% based on who is still at large.

I don't think I'll ever visit Clayton, OK.  

Nasty stuff, it has destroyed many peoples lives, nothing good ever comes from it.

As my Grandfather used to say, that's Dunlap country, where Oklahoma done laps into Arkansas, he was born in Indian Territory not too far from Ft Smith, Skullyville IT to be specific, its been gone for 100 years, but its still on the map.

Oklahoma legislator pay is around $35k.

Back in the 80's Deputies in Pott county pulled down $12k a year, just rolling in dough!  I put up with it because I could fly an airplane quite a few hours per month and not have to pay for it.  There was a mileage allowance but it was just about break even, we used our own cars, I believe the only county owned car was the Sheriff's own vehicle, later we got a van for prisoner transport.  Currently they make a lot more money than we did, although its still pretty lousy, and the county owns the patrol cars.  At one time I was told the starting pay for Oklahoma County Deputies, it was almost double what we got.  At one time I was semi offered a job as a Deputy in California, starting pay was about $40k a year, but #1 I've lived in California when I was in the service and didn't really care for it that much, and the cost of living was so high I didn't think it would be that good a deal.
