Good Will or Salvation Army Thrift Store might have something, although they usually turn things over pretty fast.

Those were going to be our fall back plan. In Illinois where the plane was originally we found a mattress reseller that gave us a dozen or so that he was going to get tossed anyways.

That's the trainer derived from the Beech Bonanza isn't it? Indeed it is! Beechcraft T34 Mentor It last flew about 8-9 years ago. Landed in Tuscoola, IL and there it sat. We hauled it to Ada to get it checked out. Its been checked out now we gotta bring her home. This is an operational one.

You might try some of the furniture stores that haul off old mattresses. There is Hisaw Warehouse (580) 332-1434; Rhynes & Rhodes (580) 436-1050; West Sales (580) 332-1270, and Hudsons Furniture (580) 436-2340. I can't think of any others. That is the only source I can think of in the area for old mattresses no guaranties that they will have any but it may be worth a shot. Good luck.

I managed a furniture and appliance store, we sold a lot of mattresses, and we hauled off the old ones, took them straight to the dump, under no circumstances would we bring a used mattress into the store or warehouse, bed bugs.
Plus, its illegal to sell used mattresses, so they have no value. Its also illegal for Good Will or the thrift stores to sell used mattresses that are donated to them, I don't know how much scrutiny they get, but we had inspectors in the store a couple times a year, looking for used mattresses and checking for state tax stamps, if our mattresses didn't have state tax stamps there could be hell to pay. One time we had a bunch that didn't have the state tax stamp, an oversight by the manufacturer, we got a written warning and advised they would be back in about a week to make sure the stamps had been affixed, and they were back the next week doing that, and we were in compliance when they rechecked. |

Wish I had an old mattress or two to donate to the cause. Are you out of Luke AFB? Was curious since the screen name/Arizona /airplane thing. |
