I saw the smoke from it from Wards Rd in Lynchburg, today.  Looks to be pretty big... I heard over 2,000 acres have been burned now.

I used to hunt Big mount Pleasant. I hope they get it under control.

Some of my friends were going to go camping in the GWNF off of Alhambra Rd, with wild fires burning and a burn ban I doubt they'll go.

Came down 29 S of Cville last night.  There was a lot of smoke around Lovingston, but apparently that's a smaller fire in Nelson.  I'm hearing ~ 5,000 acres in Amherst are currently torched.  I'm in SW Amherst now and there's quite a few helos coming from Lburg. It's a big hunting week, I wonder what offset/ conditions are required to legally hunt near affected areas?  I hope the anticipated rain tonight squelches this.  It's dry, I believe there's been a fire ban for 2 weeks.

"It is unlawful to hunt adjacent to forest fires."

Doesn't define adjacent on the website.
