You have to drive south.

I drive to Camp Butner for high power shooting.  I have it cased and unloaded.

It's a highly technical process. Here is what you do:

Load you range gear in your car.
Drive south.
Get out and shoot gun at destination.

I am not a lawyer but I believe it is perfectly legal.

When I drive to Florida, I case the unloaded guns and keep them in the trunk or at least inaccessible from the Driver's seat and out of sight (no need to advertise). Watch your speed and drive carefully to avoid inviting "the man" into you life (always a good idea).

Recommended routes are I-95, I-85, and I-77. But many fine alternate routes include Highway 15, Highway 401, Highway 501, US 29, etc., as well as countless smaller, less-travelled routes.

Have fun and enjoy!
