Senate Bill 1985 passed out of environment committee based on party lines IIRC.  (Official record on ILGA web page is now showing  5 Y  3 N and  1 NV). Its now up for additional readings, discussion and vote in the Senate

Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that it shall be unlawful to use lead ammunition to take wildlife in State parks or natural areas. Defines "lead ammunition" as a projectile containing one or more percent lead by weight. Makes conforming changes. Effective immediately.

Might be a good time to please contact your state Senator and politely urge them to OPPOSE SB 1985.
