Quick question, several years ago, my company was putting roofs on bank owned properties, and we transitioned to foreclosure work.  I didn't know how to pick a lock or to drill a lock.  So I purchase several lock pick tools.  We have since left that business

I was cleaning the office and found a brand new automatic lock picking gun.  We lost it the day after we received.  So I have this near new tool I don't need, can I sell to anyone.  Are there any laws about possession and sale of these items.

Does Illinois, Chicago or any of the surrounding villages even address these items.   Normally I wouldn't think so, but Chicago and Cook seem to presume everyone is guilty till proven innocent.  Maybe I should put this on the EE instead.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

they are not illegal unless you are using them for no good, then  they are burglary tools
