Has anyone done this with success in Madison county?

Weather out there must be screwing with USPS. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday (22nd) but didn't get to their hub til late last night. Says it's still going to be delivered on the 22nd though.

Everyone is screwed up for some reason. UPS has had my ammo in Hodgkins since Wednesday and they keep delaying it due to nonexistent bad weather.

I wasn't too concerned with it being delayed, I was more worried about some kind of accident that destroyed it in transit and would have to get the signatures and prints again. |

When filling out the form 1, do I list my CR FFL # on it? Or just mail in a copy of it with the Form 1?

I don't have personal experience, but there were some people on ILCarry that got signoff's in Kane. No problems with the Kane County Sheriff. I just called his office to set up an interview, but his Executive Assistant said to just drop the Form 1's off and to include my contact info. He signed the forms and they mailed them back to me. Thanks gents. I thought I had read before not to sign it so I made sure not to do that. I did manage to tear it a little bit, though.

Thank god I didn't sign the original. Worst case scenario, the ATF can probably send you a new copy. |

ATF charged my credit card this morning. now the waiting game

Just received my C&R from the ATF. Sent it out Jan 11, license arrived February 19th for those wondering what the current turn around time is.
Hoping to get at least two, if not three Form 1s sent off in the coming week. Local Sheriff (Bureau County) is friendly so I didn't worry about waiting til the summer. |

Not sure if it's been covered. Must we keep and maintain our C&R license as long as we have our SBR or is it just needed to aquire the SBR? Mine is set to expire and I plan to renew. I'm just curious.

you do need to keep it active but at like $10/year you save that in deals from big firearms retailers

Has anyone used Silencerco.com's online trust form?
https://www.store.silencerco.com/products/nfatrust They are claiming the less expensive way... What is typical NFA form with lawyer in Illinois btw? I don't own or budget for a SBR but thinking of future. If anyone knows the easiest or less calorie burning way of obtaining one in Will County or Bolingbrook, I'd like to know one. Thanks |

A trust cannot hold the required C&R license. We could at first but the ATF changed its mind |

Thanks View Quote The (previous) Will County Sheriff signed off on mine, and I know of at least one other member here who has had the current sheriff sign off on his. The other member had an even easier time than I did - he just dropped off the forms one day and picked them up (signed) a few days later. Get that done and your required fingerprinting, and you're on the way. Or, if I understand the rumor correctly, wait until this coming July and skip the signatures on your Form 1's and just get the prints & photos done and you're good to go. |

It was insanely easy with the new Sheriff. Mailed the forms, talked to his secretary and then set a time to pick them up. Probably 10mins of total interaction. Thanks View Quote You won't be needing a cleo signature after July of this year (I forget the date), only notification will be required (in the form of sending copies of the F1 to the cleo I assume). As others have said the current will county sheriff will sign off on f1's right now from what I've heard on here and on the il carry forum, if you don't want to wait. Mine were signed off in person by the prior will county sheriff. |

When you are ready, just simply mail them to me, that’s fine. Submitted a form 1 for the first time, typical AR setup.
ATF cashed my check 11/6/15 Called today(3/4/16) was told it was still pending Looked at NFA TRACKER under form1 paper forms and appears that my paperwork is exceeding the reported turn around time on their chart. Anyone else experiencing similar wait times recently? |

It's kind of odd that you haven't been approved yet. Best of luck. |
