There is a new guns and ammo store that is supposed to be opening in Carterville (southern Illinois near Marion) today. It is next to the " Your Jeweler" store. I spoke to the owner and he told me he has 16,000+ rounds of .22lr. I went by yesterday and they weren't open yet, but I could see some of it on the shelf through the window. Happy hunting.

I didn't want to start my own thread since we have this one - Long story short, I drive from Bolingbrook to Peoria once a week for work. Are there any gun shops I should be visiting between here and there? Specifically any that would carry powder and primers? I especially need to stock up on powder for .308 and 300 BLK. Lastly, I was at Cabelas in Hoffman Estates this Saturday, they had LOTS of primers. Prices were in the low $30 range though. But they had CCI and others. |

[#44]
Northlake wally-word has about 20 boxes of Winchester 22lr 555 packs and about 50 boxes of Remington 225 packs on the shelve.

Cabelas Hoffman Estates has a lot of 22lr behind the gun counter. Remington viper, yellow jacket, Federal champion, CCI minimags, standard velocity, and some subsonic rounds. Nothing more than 100 round packs and still a limit of one bulk pack or two 50 round boxes.
