Just got home from the Summerlin Costco, I had to do a triple take in a guy was OC'ing an XD. I thought they absolutely did not allow firearms in their stores and that there was in fact someone shot and killed by Metro for CC'ing in the North Vegas store.

They used to be posted in Vegas as well, but I don't think they are any more.

Concealed is concealed (as long as you have a valid CCW permit). If you don't leave it in your vehicle.

We are Las Vegas, Kommiefornia now.

It was the Summerlin Costco that happened in and from what I remember that guy was nuts.

And from what I remember Metro overreacted (and I'm pro-LE).

Thanks for the info. I'm amazed Costco employees said nothing given that previous incident. This is now east LA, isn't it?

Sam's club in NW vegas is ok with OC.  I don't do costco, partly because of that incident.

I have my Glock on me every Thursday when I'm in there. Concealed, but I have it. Their signs are meaningless.

Very hypocritical of them to sell ammo cans, but I buy the shit out of them.

Some also sell safes.

The one in Red Rock sells both. The ammo cans are pretty good quality also. Get a .50 and a .30 for $19. I buy one every trip.

The safes are meh. Good for smash and grabs. Get a fatboy and be happy.

Saw a guy two or three weeks ago in open carry mode being escorted out of the Costco in Spanish Springs...

Both Spanish Springs and the Reno Costco removed their no firearms signs. They know they have a Public Relations conflict if firearms are legal. They also know they can ask the customer to remove the firearm.

Anyway, I asked why the man was being escorted out. They replied that their policy was if he has a CCW and wants to conceal it, fine. But they don't want the other patrons to feel uncomfortable. That he was being escorted to his car where he could put it away...

Their legal team obviously knows that they only have an issue if the customer refuses to remove themselves from the premises... But they have no right to tell people they can't do something thats perfectly legal. Which is why they found themselves partly responsible for the man who died in their Las Vegas store...

When did the Spanish Springs store remove their sign? I thought I saw it up just a week or two ago.

I don't remember. Its been at least a year. Possibly more...

I remember noticing it gone a long time ago. Then I stood outside looking for it just to be sure I didn't miss it.

You're probably mis-remembering but we can both report our findings again after a second look...
