Trying to get ssdi is a giant pain. They always turn everything down at first. You have to appeal probably twice. Get people close in your life to write letters about how they have to help you in daily life and you are incapable of work. When you go to the dr for evaluation you have to not try your best but honestly tell them this hurts as soon as it does and stop trying to do that test.

I don't have much but i'll toss in a little. Joe you are a good guy, i hope you get well.

We could maybe try a donate a rifle in parts type thing. I am not sure how to organize that but can likely find something to contribute.

Thank you for trying, Tony.

Maybe you have something turned on that shouldn't be on the GFM site.

Maybe ask Lee, he made a contribution the other day.

Joe if you ever just want some company i tend to have a good bit of free time. I forget what part of town you live in but there are tons of nice walks everywhere or frisbee golf or range trips or tons of good food, golf, picking up random women from bachelorette parties on the strip, we even play some dorky games with polyhedrons pencil and paper. I know it can be hard to engage in wholesome activities in sin city but i have a pair of ears if you ever want them.

Done, if a raffle or whatever gets going I have some items that can be donated.  5- G17 P mags and a barreled receiver of some sort collecting dust.

Done a couple of days ago but didn't want to make a big deal out of it. Stay strong Joe!

I'd like to thank everyone who has donated and will donate. Some of you I don't know by first name and some have donated anonymously so I don't know who you are. But thank you!

Even if the page goes over the goal that will be very helpful because then I won't have to endure another summer with no AC.

Also, I got a personal visit yesterday from The Godfather. A man whom I have trained under in past years and have immense respect for not only as a person, but as a fellow colleague in the firearms industry. I love ya Uncle Tony!

I'd also like to thank Striker (Staff) for allowing WP to post the link here in the NVHTF.

Hopefully when I get some extra money I'll be able to reactivate my Platinum membership as a way of giving back to the site.

No man should have to hang out in a casino for air conditioning.

No disrespect, but I don't "hang out in a casino for air conditioning." Where did you get that from?

I stay at home and sweat it out (so to speak) with cool showers and fans.

Try it for a few days sometime. It will make you appreciate air conditioning as a luxury and not a necessity.

I've actually become accustomed to it.

Glad to see the goal was reached.

I've done a handful of days with a broken ac in the vegas summer. Not fun.

I'm making one of these if i have trouble with the ac again.

I never said you did, I implied it shouldn't be an only option. I spent my first summer here loitering in station casinos because I couldn't afford AC, so more projection on my part than anything. I've also spent many a summer with a redneck AC like the one in the video above. Mine just wasn't as fancy.

Edit: If anyone tries the thing in the video above, it works better with a styrofoam cooler and it will last longer if you freeze the ice into solid blocks.

I've been called many things in my life, eloquent has never been one of them.

Back in Florida, when hurricanes took out the power, we'd "shop" at walmart to cool down.  A casino would be a luxury compared to that :)
