I’m looking for help in the Las Vegas area.
<o:p></o:p>

I’m in NH negotiating an armslist purchase, the seller doesn’t
want to go through an FFL at his end, my FFL is ok with this.  I would feel more comfortable if I had someone
at the seller’s end to verify the gun is as listed and is actually signed over
to UPS (or whatever shipper he chooses).
<o:p></o:p>

I’m not asking for anyone to actually purchase the gun; what
I would like is to have someone accept my money order and hand it over to the
seller after verifying the gun is what it is supposed to be (make, model, and
S/N) and that it is actually handed over to the UPS (or whatever) clerk.
<o:p></o:p>

I will supply my FFL’s info (name and address) so that you know it is being shipped to an actual FFL, his info can be verified with the "Find
a Transfer Dealer” link in gunbroker’s "Tools for Buyers”.
<o:p></o:p>

This is not a done deal yet and I don’t know the seller’s
actual address, only that he listed "Las Vegas, NV” in the add.
<o:p></o:p>

I’d be glad to pay for the gas and lunch for your trouble.
<o:p></o:p>

IM or email me if you are interested.

Thanks

If you are that worried about it, avoid it. You can also check his address and name through some of the free search sites.

Google his info to death, including email.

Appears to be too much complication for the transaction (I rather pay more for the peace of mind). Just look somewhere else.

All, not what I wanted to hear but good advice.

I'll think on it.

If you're willing to pay the transfer fee why won't he bring it to an FFL to ship?  There might be a red flag there.....

He can drop it off at our store and its a $25 transfer fee plus shipping and its out the next day to your FFL if he changes his mind and you're willing to pay the transfer fee for him.

Yeah, this is the part that would bother me.  I'd actually rather go through an FFL, let them deal with shipping. Doesn't seem like a seller I'd want to be dealing with.  Would rather pay a few extra $$$.
