The story I was told at the gate years ago was....someone at the Boyscout camp somewhere over the hill far away...found a .50 cal bullet laying on the drivers seat of a vehicle. The window was down so no broken window, and the bullet was in pristine condition with no rifling marks. I was told everyone knew it was all bullshit, but it was enough to implement the no .50 BMG here anymore rule.

And down range at BC is to close to the river, lake, and highway/dam.

We just moved to Vegas and I was looking at joining this range. What's the long range shooting like at the range in terms of distance and targets? Is the longest you can shoot at Range 9? Do they have steel targets longer than that?

This is range 9
Berms are 2, 3, 4, 500 meters. There are a few steel plates out there, most people bring their own (you can drive them out there). There are a few berms further that will get you to 644 and 700 yards. The sun will almost always be in your face unless you get there early or wait till late. |

There is steel on 6 too. One at 200 and another on the 400 berm. I shoot that shit almost EVERY day.
