In CT are the people in defiance of the registration shooting the unregistered guns in the open or are they in hiding.

Defiance accomplishes nothing. Eventually they will win, they have time and manpower on their side. Even if they aren't pursuing and prosecuting now, one day they will. Preventing or repealing the law is the only way gun owners can win.

It is true that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. However, mass non compliance can result in an eventual outright victory.
