I have been looking at Nevada Gun Laws and came across an article citing The City is allowing people with permits to carry in City Owned parks.  Is this true?  If so, what is the ordnance?  Thanks

There is a city ordinance that has been in effect for over 2 years, which explains the exemption.

Look at 13.36.020

The county does similar things and uses park rules which are decided by the park folks, but good luck on getting them to relax anything.

So as I understand it, CCW Permit holders are allowed to carry in parks.

City parks have the exemption. Good luck in the county, as you have to ask for permission and I have never heard of them approving anyone.

Here is the portion that explains the exemption-

The prohibition set forth in Paragraph (6) of Subsection (A) shall not apply to:
(1) Activities specifically approved under this Chapter in connection with a particular event;
(2) The possession of firearms that is otherwise permitted by State law; or
(3) The possession of a concealed weapon by a person who holds a valid permit to do so that has been issued under, or is recognized pursuant to, the provisions of NRS 202.3653 to 202.369.
