Griffin Armament as a practice seeks to hire quality, versatile people. We have found that guys getting out of high school or who have some recent technical school with mechanical aptitude such as people who work on their own cars, are ideal for general positions.
We currently have a need to fill a full time position and are looking for an HVLP painter, or a tig welder who can do assembly work when painting or welding is not required. Painting and welding are not currently full time positions. Rather they are probably 1/4 time positions, so general work such as assembly would probably be the bulk of the job.
The HVLP painting work requires attention to detail, motivation, and efficiency of motion. Care for equipment is an important part of the task.
The welding tasks involve moderately skilled manual tig fusion settup welding (ability to use filler rod is not required but is ideal), and lesser skilled robot fusion tig welding. Both require a caring attitude, an ability to grasp the concept and to implement and follow procedures and practices to ensure throughput, and quality results.
We're looking for a valuable team member. In our experience we have found that an ideal hire is a minority candidate (AKA we're looking for a quality team player - I don't know if people were reading that as a different meaning).
We are currently located in Dousman with a possibility of relocation to Ixonia in the future so the ideal candidate would probably be located
within driving distance of the Oconomowoc WI area.
