[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Denver, USPS package stuck in Denver for 4 days now. Any reason why? <showed up today>

I have a very important part for a customer that was supposed to be shipped out 2nd day air on Monday.

Tracking shows the following...

Was there a weather event, or plane crash, or train derailment that I am not aware of?

This was a very time sensitive job that we just ate because of this delay.

Nothing that I'm aware of. The delay could be anywhere between Commerce City and the next sorting hub. When a shipment is critical use UPS NDA.

I figured it might have been weather or something, that I could have understood.

It was the sellers choice for shipping on this one.

It was hella windy out here for a few days. Lots of flight delays out at DIA. It has been much calmer since Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

Funny that this came up as I've recently had similar delayed packages in Denver.

Living over in the Grand Junction area, a package that hits the Denver hub during the day will usually head over that night and be on the truck for delivery in the morning.

Lately, they have been hitting the denver hub and sitting there for a couple of days. Even with crappy weather in the mountains UPS has usually not had problems but as far as I know, the roads have been fine. Not sure whats the issues there?

this appears to be USPS, not UPS.

i've had the same kookiness happen with USPS, then sometimes, i'll get an amazon Sunday delivery from USPS.

Im guessing it may have had to do with the wind
There was some blow overs the past few days.
More like alot. The eastern plains and up in north on I-80 was real bad. Last week the trains were later than usual too.

I'm waiting on a package that was supposed to be here Saturday. Still says it will be here Saturday the 11th

Also says "in transit to destination" with no update.

Had a package ship a day later and I got it today from USPS...Not sure what's going on
