Greetings OP
How much time do you have in our fine state?
Are you thinking of doing some hiking, if so, what level of fitness would you say you are in?
How much do you like beer?
Staying in Denver or going to explore the state?

We have some awesome breweries and I'm sure you'd love checking them out.

I would recommend you hike to Chasm Lake. It's about 1 hour from Denver to the Trailhead. It's pretty high, but it's just below the altitude that most people really have problems. Do it on a weekday.

Other notable hikes:
Wild Basin/ Calypso Falls in Rocky Mountain National Park

Breweries:
Check out:
Crooked Stave (if you are intersted in Sour Beers)
Great Divide
Epic Brewing Co.
Breckenridge Brewing (awesome new place they JUST built)
Odyssey
Strange

Breckenridge is one of my favorite mountain towns to check out. Very nice up there; somewhat close to Denver.
You could also drive to Estes Park / Rocky Mountain National Park from Denver.

Well I got my flight and hotel booked. I'll fly into Denver late Friday (July 3), and staying at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center until the next Saturday (July 13).

If anyone wants to have a beer or two that would be awesome.

I will also be visiting Colorado from July 3-13, flying in and out of Denver...

I am camping and hiking along the Peak to Peak highway and exploring Rollinsville, Moffett Tunnel, Nederland area, Longs Peak, Estes Park and RMNP, Grand Lake and Winter Park, etc. until Rush on the 11th at Pepsi Arena!

I know it's been mentioned, but you have to hit up Strange Craft Brewery.

That's kinda my home bar and they make some of the best damn beer in a state full of great beer.

I had to postpone my flight due to a few things beyond my control, I'm in the process of rescheduling my flight as this very moment though.

Did I mention that I'm traveling solo on this? So any opportunities to meet fellow arfcommers are welcome!

You really can't go wrong with any of the above, and there is even more good stuff too - that is just to me the pinnacle of the Denver Beer Scene.

If you drive 1 hour north you can hit Fort Collins and go to Odells, New Belgium,  Horse and Dragon, Fort Collins Brewery, etc.
They have good restaurants as well and a pretty cool small downtown area called "old town"

Same.  Except there is an extra dose of "progressivism" here and the food isn't as good as it is around ATL.  I've been here almost 15 yrs.

Might as well have them cruise colfax for you. If you really got suckered by a cab, call the main line and tell them about it.

If we wanted to have some sort of Meet-up Friday night I will be in Denver. We could meet at a brewery, say Strange Craft or Breckenridge Brewery (the new one, in S Denver)

Too bad you didn't get to see any of the mountains. This is the perfect time to get up in there and experience it.

It's only 5-15 degrees cooler in the mountain towns. It's only cold on TOP of the mountains.

But yeah, some southern folk can get really cold coming to Colorado. It's because you aren't acclimated to it. :)
