Check out this drivel from Washington Cease Fire. I'm going to bitch out WTIA for this crap. Thinking about trolling it too.

nothing like a bunch of morons sitting around and talking about a smart chunk of steel and plastic, as if they'd even know anything about "smarts" or guns....

Wanna bet that not a single person in that room will have ever touched a gun in their life?

Yep, sounds like the proper qualifications.

I note that there is a panel discussion.  I didn't see any place for those attending to offer their comments.  An exchange of views does not appear to interest them, rather, they appear to want only to present their views to anyone willing to listen.

You think the irony would be lost on them if their meeting was interrupted by a power outage?

Anyone else notice one of the speakers is from New Jersey? You know the state with the law that once a gun store anywhere in the US starts selling a "smart gun" that in the next two years the only handguns legal for sale in NJ will have to be smart guns.... Well that figures.

I sent them an e-mail asking if paying attendees could participate in the discussion.  Not holding my breath.

Looks drunk and/or stoned...and it also looks like she gets popped in the nose from time to time. Me thinks she needs a gun to defend herself when she's staggering around the hood in downtown Seattle.

Alan Gottlieb will supposedly be there.

I wonder if he likes smart guns as much as he likes UBCs?

I got a reply to my e-mail.

I sent this;
I'm interested in attending the Smart Gun Symposium and
would like to know more about the event.  Will there be a
chance to speak to the panel or otherwise actively
participate?  Thank you.

and got the following reply;

We are confirming our list of panelists
now. If you could provide some insight on your background
and experience with the topic, I could propose it to our
planning committee?

Is it my imagination or does it seem they will not accept any input from the people who are paying to be at the event?  I didn't even get a direct answer to my question.  I would like to own personalized firearms; sure as hell don't want to see them forced on anyone other than the police and military though.  I wrote a long letter on my views about these kinds of firearms and how badly New Jersey is trying to promote them.  I wonder if they will allow any input at all or if they will just be telling people their own views?  If no input is allowed, then the fee they are charging is a rip-off.
