I'll be with Rizzo all morning and afternoon doing a course of his benefiting CVPD, so maybe he can swing by and say hello with me afterwards.

It's a Saturday for those who don't know already. And since everyone loved the bulk pack of stuffed chicken sausages I had brought with me the last time, I will do it again, provided someone else cooks them of course.

Think my in-laws arrive that Sunday. Should be able to make it if that's the case, and there isn't some damn race clogging up the highway again.

Anyone planning to camp out that Saturday night?

So are you invisioning a full-up shoot, or mainly a BBQ & beer meet up in the field?

I'll be up there Saturday for that event too. I'd be down to hang out (nvg shoot?) for a bit before the drive back into the valley.

I don't know what the nature of the fundraiser will be when the courses are over ( if they want us the hell out of there or they want people to hang out at the range).

The arf way is both

The last shoot we had it was observed by the OG's (nothing to do with age, but membership longevity) that there is a core group of shooters, most of which that are local that always attend and it was decided to do these shoots more often by posting an impromptu shoot from time to time, shoot emails and texts and so on gathering us for random get together's.

And I hope you do come, I have a big belt of 7.62 NATO to delink the right way.

I live a "stone throw" from Rich_V and keep trying to make a meet, but dammit retirement "honey-do's" keep piling up. The 19th I'll be doing the deer hunt thing else would drop by for the day. Still hoping to meet up for breakfast sometime with the locals...

Rich_V has my number, and knows where I work and where I live too. Tell him when and where and I will be there or adjust things to a better time. I work six days a week fair warning though

Main entrance is a joy for an old Chebbie 4x4.
Backdoor entrance is good for a Honda Civic.

The plan so far is for me to try and call Rich an hour before the the class ends and he'll try and help us shut down the range and clean up to get Rizzo up there faster.

I'll call Rizzo this evening and try to a time line for you all not attending to work with.

There will be some shooting and a raging campfire with friends to enjoy company with.

Still not sure if I can make this outing due to my upcoming Fun Show (out advertising). If I do, It will only be a quick, light swing-by trip. I'd probably only bring my M16 and FAL...although my M2 Carbine might be in the mix as well.

I was tolt of a couple of fun drills:

1 torso (cardboard) target at 75 yds.
5 shooting positions, 5ft apart.
2 shots from each position, 10rds total.
Time plus 3 seconds for any misses.

1 torso (cardboard) target at 50yds.
1 shooting position.
3 mags with 5 rds each.
5rds standing.
5rds kneeling
5rds prone
ALL shots must be in the A zone.

Whacha think?

I dint shoot that summana beech!

With the weedeater, we oughtta be able to clear a spot to shoot some grounded
soda cans.
Anybody able to stop by Wal-Mart and get us some?
I'll bring the usual targets and stands .

We can do the drills mentioned above well into the night.
Everybody has a weapon mounted light good for 50yds, right?

I'm hoping to get there by 4pm or earlier, but I've got some work
to take care of, so I might be late.

I'm bringing a steak, a grill and some charcoal, so I'm good on food.
