FYI,

Pecos and 87 has three Ruger Americans. 2x.243, 1 30-06

San Tan Village mall WM has a .22mag and .17.

MUST.... NOT.... FO...    gahhhhhhhhh

The STV mall says they have a Ruger .243 in the back too. I'm buying the Mossberg 930 here now.

ETA: Pecos and 87 searched for 150 mile radius for a 45-70 for me. None around.

Oddly enough, it's full price there. I called, asked them to scan it, $539. Really want one but only for the sale price.

A lot of times they have not updated the SKU's in their price guns... so it still is going to reflect the previous price changes.  Whether or not everyone in the store knows how to do it or not is a different story.

My bet also is that if you call, they are going to not put any effort into it, if they are not holding it for a buddy already.

WTF, raised hell for them to go look for a 45-70 and they said they didn't have one. Think they had a 30-30

If anyone has run across a .223 bolt gun that they would be interested in trading for a RAR in 30-06 let me know.

Two buddies (waiting for them to chime in here) scored those 45/70 rifles from the Walmart on 59th and Bell. They offered to pick me up one, but I passed. I only like rifles that are pleasant to shoot.

As of yesterday the WM's on Dysart and I-10 and Estrella and I-10 did NOT have the marked down pricing yet. Dysart had a 45-70 but it was $538.00.

Estrella said they had a couple 22lr's marked down to $99.00 bu they were gone.

I bought a RAR in 30-06 and an MVP in 5.56.  They had the one remaining RAR in 243 and one more MVP in 5.56 when I left around 10:30AM.  They did also have two Rem 870's.

For all of them, you needed to ask them to "refresh" the price - they had the old prices on them.

Don't drive up there! I drove there from San Tan Valley for the 45-70 and their gun sale kiosk is down. They can not sell guns today. They will put them on hold. They should have another MVP in the back as well. The one in the case is on hold for another guy who was there when I was. I have the 45-70 on hold. Although I just bought one at a different location so I may release it.

The Arizona Ave and 202 location has a RAR in 30-06 and 243. They are still showing full price on the stickers.

No worries, I had thought you meant you were picking it up and selling one of the two.

I drove all that way to Anthem for nothing and just bought bought one at the Walmart on 60 and Signal Butte. Not very far at all from me. They do still have a 930 there for 299 if anyone's interested.

I would say keep trying.. people are still scoring rifles because they were in backstock or the markdown was not reflected and the person selling them had no idea.  Just use an ffl finder to find the walmarts with guns.  Id say a visit is the most effective way to figure it out.

The very first thing I did for my 1895 was order a safety plug from Beartooth Merchantile to replace that stupid crossbolt safety. The Beartooth plug is made to look like a screw head on each side and improves the look of the rifle a lot to me. It takes a screwdriver and less than 10 minutes to install.

I did a trigger swap first, put in a happy trigger from Wild West Guns.  Could not stand the flop and it brought down the pull.

I picked up Rem/UMC .40 for $8.00 a box this past week. Scored 500 rounds and still left some behind. You can't even get new .40 brass for that price.
