My friends dad live in Texas during the year, and in Quartzsite during the winter. He has a Texas drivers license. He is wanting to buy a gun at the Quartzite gun show next weekend. Will he be able to?

I believe you can buy rifles, but handguns are a no-no. Someone will be along shortly to correct me.

You are correct. Though some dealers play it safe and won't make a perfectly legal transaction. Looking at you Academy Sports and Outdoors.

Just have him get an AZ ID card w/his AZ address, doesn't have to give up his drivers license.

When I moved here an AZ water bill with my name on it was enough to establish residency.
Wasn't there a recent court decision on this very subject?
