Hello all. This May my girlfriend finished up her graduate degree and got a job in Tempe. So in mid June she moved down to the south valley, and I followed at the end of the month(lived in northern AZ). The last 2 years of school for her I worked 80-90 hours a week so that no more student loans had to be taken out, so my first few weeks here I caught up on sleep and nursed a couple injuries that came from tough work. Its been about a month now and I'm bored, and even worse, have no money to put into further gun purchases. I've been looking in the obvious places (craigslist, indeed and career builder) I've applied at some of the bigger companies that I have seen in my area also. I know nobody down Here, and the area is completely new to me. So my question is, where else should I be looking? I worked as a wild land firefighter for 5 years, and the past 2 years I've been working as an EMT at night and doing landscaping/remodel construction during the day. Looking for some local knowledge on companies I should be looking at? Maybe websites with job listings I don't know of? I'm open to doing pretty much anything, but looking at tree services was the first thing I did, as I have a ton of experience falling trees . (Not a lot of tree work down here haha). Anyway, thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to point me in the right direction, just trying to make sure I cover all my bases.

The forest service has a bunch of Firefighter related jobs listed on Usajobs.gov. I looked and some of the job locations are Phoenix or Mesa. Might be worth looking into if you have experience in that area.

Thanks for the heads up on that, USFS and BLM has some jobs up, I talked to some of the captains down here on those engines and they are just being flown for now, they will pull apps in December and fire hire in jan-feb. I do have my USA job profile all ready in case they get desperate and hire someone, but it usually doesn't happen during the summer. I'll keep checking though!

League of Cities has state wide municipal job listings http://www.azleague.org/
Phoenix also has it's own page https://www.phoenix.gov/hr/current-jobs
Assuming you can pass a piss test, but I'm sure you have to for firefighting and EMT work.

Haha yeah never any worries with a piss test. Thank you very much for the links, I was going nuts wondering if I hit every cities website to look for those jobs, this is exactly what I was hoping someone would post up.
