I used them 5 years ago, and will use him again when I need to retake the course. |

Take the online course, then just 2 hours of range time required.................

Thanks for the link. I'll check them out. As for the online course, I looked into that and man are they sketchy. One site says it's free but you would have to pay to continue and take the course, there are no mention of how much it would cost total anywhere on the site. I think I'll just go and take the course in person to be safe. |

These courses are ticket punches. Buy by price and convenience. The course doesn't have to be reputable! Don't expect to learn how to fight with the pistol in any course that's less than 3 days in a row (few of us can afford a week at Gunsite). Do expect a lot of pure BS from the instructors. Bring lots of caffeine.
Workman's class in "Cleveland" this Sunday (28 August) still has openings. Class is in Broadview Heights (OH-82 and I-77) and very easy to get to. Note this is just an endorsement of convenience. I know nothing about their course but remember these are all just ticket punches. Get real training when you can spare a long weekend.
As noted earlier there is never any reason to repeat this or any CHL training, it's good forever if you hold onto your CHL for proof (even after it expires). -- Chuck |

As noted earlier there is never any reason to repeat this or any CHL training, it's good forever if you hold onto your CHL for proof (even after it expires). Assuming, of course, the law doesn't change.

That requirement was removed from the law several years ago. All you need for each renewal is either your old CHL card or your original Proof of completion from your original class. |
