My father is moving to CA and needs some help with the gun laws. I did some research, please let me know if I am correct.

He has:
Springfield XD-9
Custom Open Glock 35 with compensator and threaded barrel
Rem 870 shotgun

All have to be registered with CA within 60 days using the new resident form and paying $19 each.

No magazines over 10 rnds are allowed.

The threaded glock barrel will have to be switched out with the original non threaded barrel.

Is that everything?

Looks like you have it covered.

If there are any handguns he is interested in then have him buy them before moving because the choices are slim here.

I think it's only $19 for the new resident application regardless of the number of guns being registered.

Threaded barrel on the 35 is a no go. DOJ would love him tenderly

He can bring steel ammo, just can't shoot it anywhere. Until SHTF.

I have no problem with finding ranges to shoot it in Northern California, it's Southern California that catches fire at the sight of it.
