I keep hearing our gas taxes are $1.20/gal, so it can't go too much lower. Brown spent that money on walking paths and horse trails.

At any rate the best I've seen is $2.60

Sacramento is probably salivating at the idea of gas staying this cheap for a little while.

Just enough time to slip a hefty gas tax in, say another $1.00 a gallon or so.

It is, of course a trap.

As soon as you run out and buy a vehicle that gets 14 mpg it will jump to $4 again.

Highway ... I get 12.5 in the city and about 16-20 on the highway (towing/not towing).

That's pretty close to what I get, maybe a little better.

They already got it with AB 32, the more we drive the more penalty tax we will have to pay. It may have been 10-15 cents when it started, but since it has no cap, we know it won't stay low for long. Oh and they get to use the money towards tax credits for low-income families.
