At the Civil War battle of Gettysburg we lost +51,000 Americans ...  we lost 258 in Gulf War I and +6,600 in Gulf War II/Iraq/Afghanistan.

In the whole Civil War/War between the states American lost 600,000 to 800,000 men, now the liberal press has kittens when we lose 1/100th of that amount if there's a conservative president. During the first few years of the Afghan conflict casualties were low and the press was all about the deaths ... in 2008 they started rising and by 2010 they were up to ten times that of the Bush years ... but not a story, barely a word mentioned. I don't fault or credit either president, war is what it is, I am pointing out that the press makes or breaks a story not on numbers but by political party.
