I carry an automatic knife myself, but there is no preemption of knife law in Florida.

For example, I believe that Miami Dade has an ordinance against the carrying of automatic knives.

Some believe that since they aren't ordinary pocket knives they're weapons and a concealed weapons license allows for their legal carry statewide.
