I've stayed in Destin the last 3 nights. Is this weather typical for October? I'd like to come back next year.

It's been a little warmer than normal for this time of the year.

October is one of the best months, weather wise here.

Seems about a week ago it was cooler and less humid, so I'll mirror what the first poster said.

If you return to the area, do so at the same time or after the beginning of Sept. Anything before is a zoo.

Destin is quite nice.

On your next trip, head west, cross over the Sound at Navarre and drive the island down to Ft. Pickens.

Also, it's worth the time to visit the Naval Aviation Museum on NAS Pensacola.

Glad you had an enjoyable time.
