Had some folks who wanted to join yesterday not be able to make it, so I figured I'd put something up for when the holiday craze is over with. I want to keep on this and try to make it at least somewhat regular thing.
Suggestions welcome, but let's aim for South Orlando this time. The last 2 I've been to have been more north, it's only fair. Also, for as much as I liked Gator's, I think an actual parking lot is preferred so people don't have to drive all over the place. Thinking early-mid January. Ideas? Launch 'em here. Thanks! ETA 12/27/2015 - Crabby Bills, Saint Cloud, Fri. Jan 22 2016. Had some folks give a no-go to the 15th, how is the 22nd for everyone? Jan 22nd it is. |

If I am in town I am game for a south area meet. Lots of options if you are looking for suggestions -
Alehouse on Kirkman Alehouse LBV Gator's dockside on Conroy and DP Blvd (pretty decent parking lot) A dozen or more places along Sandlake Rd Even more on I-Drive if anyone wants to brave it (it's actually easy, just come in from Universal Blvd instead) |

Mid January sounds good to me. South Orlando would be great too. The drive from Tampa isn't that bad, but across Orlando is a killer.

Maybe look at Celebration. Easy access from I-4 & 417 w/o the congestion around Kirkman/I-Drive. If the date works, I'll try to show up.

Anyone ever try Crabby Bills in Saint Cloud? Looks pretty cool - on the water, and it's got some good reviews. Looks like a decent happy hour, too.
Just to get a date set and get the ball rolling, we'll say Friday, Jan. 15 at Crabby Bills in Saint Cloud. THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Discuss. |

Would be more than willing to any meet up around the space coast area, heck we could arrange a rocket viewing party.

Went to Crabby Bills about 2 weeks ago. Everything I have read and heard about the place its 50/50 on service or food. Depends on the day. The food we had was ok that's it. Service was ok. I live 10 minutes away doubt if I'll be back.

Thanks for checking in! |

I was looking, South west of Orlando there is a beef obrady's off of I-4 in Davenport (on US 27), there are plenty of places on I-drive or there is a winghouse Kissimmee a little further south. Around the intersection of the turnpike and I-4 is a gators dockside, millers ale house. I have been to most of these restaurants, not those specific locations though, except winghouse, never heard of them
I don't think I could get away much further out, as I would already be driving up from Ft Lauderdale and staying with family in Winter Park |

Let's see if anyone else has feedback. I would NOT prefer any Ale House since I've had fairly lousy experiences there, but group input matters most so we'll see. |

Didn't drink so I didn't check on drink specials. They have bands on the weekends don't know about through the week. We were inside so we couldn't hear the band very well. The view is of mainly the marina.

Should be a good date for me. But working retail the faster we set a date the sooner I can make sure I'm off early on that Friday.
Looking forward to this again. I would also be so so on the Ale House. Although I do like the one in Brandon, it tends to be very noisy in the evenings. |

How is Jan 22 (Friday)?
I've got 2 no-go's for the 15th; everyone else seems flexible, is the 22nd better overall? |
|
[#32]
I've never been to a meet-up, so I suppose it's time to change that. Im in Lake county, so South Orlando is easy. 15th or 22nd work as well. What's the typical start time?

If it better for all that would be great Let's see what happens with the 22nd. 2 people have explicitly said 'no' for the 15th; if more folks chime in and say the 22nd is bad for them, we can look at it more closely. Better to get as many folks involved as can be had. |
