What would you use?

I think this would be fine for the occasional stroll through the neighborhood.  It's too classy to hate on, me thinks.

Most likely, I'd not open carry often, but this old Model 65 might be the one I'd choose.
DAO, 3 inch heavy barrel, built by the S&W Custom Shop.

Sweet! Now it can be like it was in the late 1700s with swords and we can use guns as fashion accessories!

Gold tiger striped Desert Eagles will finally have a purpose?

Or Ace Hanlon

With a shiney old schooley gun folks say, "nice gun! What is it?"

With a black service style auto folks just get wide eyed and stare.

I honesty would almost never open carry either, but feel it should be a right, not a privilege that's been stripped away over political pandering.

All kidding aside, especially with all the overt media coverage, the propaganda through public education, and all the subliminal hints, most people fear guns of any sort.

I'd like to be able to not worry about it when I have a pistol on my hip on the way to the range and I want to stop and get gas or go into a store. I wouldn't do it all the time but it's nice to have the option.

Nice. In a public setting you'd have to deal with the, "sir, do you realize your gun is cocked?!" comments.

Not the Kabar, but the 1911.

I believe so yes. OC without a CWL, and CCW with a CWL.

I've never felt the need to carry a Kabar though.

OC would have to be cocked and locked, either the 1911 or the BHP. You are making a fashion statement, after all.

I figured I'd carry either my C96 with wooden holster/stock or my P08 Luger in an ATAS Kydex.
