I would buy a MKE HK91/G3 clone if it has a chrome lined barrel and the front sight and receiver are to spec.

I have 2 full-sized MKE MP5 pistols I got when Zenith was the importer. Both shipped with an SB tactical side-folding pistol brace.
Does anyone know if these (soon to be imported) MKE pistols in 556 will take those SB braces from my MP5s? If not, can anyone recommend a pistol brace I could grab in anticipation of getting one of these new MKE 556 guns? |

Looks like Zenith is allegedly getting into the game, but no timeline and I wonder if it’s just vaporware like their MP5 stock was. They came out with that MP5 collapsible stock waitlist right before Atlantic dropped the MKE A3 so maybe they’re trying to front run Atlantic and they have word that the MKE guns are about to land in the USA or are headed this way. I'm surprised to see them announce the one you posted already, though. The first new products that are supposed to come out, based on what they said at SHOT, are their HK416 and 417 clones. I also wonder who is making the barrels for the ZF-56 you posted... it says they're cold hammer forged and have the option of either being chrome lined or nitrided. |

I found that the HK91 was extraordinarily reliable. If you can find the brass, it can be reloaded, but it sure looks ugly from the chamber fluting. The roller locking system is extremely filthy to clean. Because of the very heavy bolt carrier/bolt, the HK91 has more felt recoil than the M1A, or the AR10 system (all three systems were in 308).
The HK91 wasn't as accurate as the AR10, but it (HK91) was extremely consistent, and the iron sights on the HK91 worked surprisingly well. Whether I would be interested in owning a HK91 would depend on its price, and if any spare parts were available. The HK91 that I used never needed any spare parts, and after around 17,000 rounds of really,REALLY hard use I had shot out the barrel and accuracy just went to hell one day. It went from 1.25" groups to 2.5"-3" groups without any warning. I guess the throat finally gave out. As I was shooting on a team sponsored by HK, when I returned the rifle to be re-barreled, I figured they would debarrel it and send it back...they sent me a brand new rifle. My only loss was the trigger group that I had sent off to Williams trigger specialties to be worked over. |

Normally I would assume just more MP5’s but the fact that you have now posted it on your social media, and said “interesting…” makes me think it might be something more and your posts from last year indicated that if these guns came in, it would be in the second half of 2023. |
