I just rec'd my new OM9-KA and don't see a serial number anywhere. Where to look?

On my SD it's on top of the receiver but you have a rail. Have you tried removing the grip frame or cap and checking if it's under one of those?

When they transferred it to you didn't the FFL verify the serial against the records?

I contacted Atlantic and they told me to look at the top rail and there is a cutout for the serial number. I'm used to finding them on the side of the receiver. Thanks
