Has anyone worn out or seen a worn out tube from long periods of slapping the charging handle?

I've been slapping the shit out of my clones for years now and outside of some finish wear on the inside of the J I can't see the steel wearing down to the point that the J channel is gone.

I've seen a few that had the slot spread open from pulling on th charging handle.

If it happens, then there's a problem with the hardness of the tube. Even that NASA MP5 which fired 100,000 rounds didn't have any problems with the tube.

I agree you're more likely to simply widen the slot by applying heavy pressure in the wrong direction all the time. It would have to be done almost on purpose.

So can I assume that since the MKE guns are made on HK machines that I should have no problems.

The tooling doesn't make the steel better, but I would seriously doubt they used inferior steel.
