i currently own a bobcat bw5fs that is setup in the A3 configuration with the fake can.
i have been thinking about SBRing it, but part of me thinks it may actually be a bit too small once i do that.

am i alone on this issue?

What do you mean by too small? Your grip and stance with it will stay the same. You just won't have a barrel extension off the end. If you don't have an actual suppressor that you want to use and do not care about the extra length off the end then save the $200 and engraving fee. I personally would sbr it.

SBR it if your state allows.

There's absolutely no question about it.   None.   You will be extremely happy with it.

I think some laser engravers are able to do the engraving in the receiver's side channel as well.

Yes, SBR them all.  HK and clones are meant to be SBR'd.  The MP5k is ok as a shooter, if you have a sling.  Otherwise, they are just big and heavy pistols..

Doooo eeeet!

My fake can was loose and wobbly, causing poor accuracy. after the SBR, it's a real tac driver. It balanced a whole lot better as well.

Other than being $200 lighter in the wallet for the stamp, there is NO downside to SBRing an mp5 (clone or otherwise).

It's worth an extra $200. You have an MP5. Treat her right!

Clone MP5 = absolutely SBR

Factory HK 94 - Keep stock

The only reason I say keep the factory gun stock is because it's getting harder to find a non-SBRed H&K gun.

Yes you are alone.

After you SBR, put a Silencer on it and will be big again!

So find someone near you have has a SBR or a sear in a pistol and shoot it.  If you like it, register your own gun.  If you don't, don't bother.  If you are coming to Las Vegas, you can try mine.  YMMV.

Had exactly the same weapon. SBR'd it about a month ago and have absolutely zero regrets.

Luckily you don't live 1 state up, or you wouldn't have to contemplate such 1st-world problems.

I am jelly, but good for you.

... and what for reason do you think that might be?

A:  Because they're supposed to be MP5s!

I couldn't just have one SBR, and the 40 has SBR paperwork pending. K w/ navy pack has my fleming sear in it and there still 3 more guns I am waiting on to be built

Probably one of the best platforms to SBR. I waited eight months for mine, exactly two years ago. Before eFile even started. With that 41P looming and as fast as eFiles are, you'll be kicking yourself later if you don't.

I'm not sure how a sbr can be too small. The Hk should always be sbr'd with the exception of when it is a machine gun :)
