Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't the breifcases and satchels NFA items according to ATF?

A briefcase (or satchel) is just a briefcase (or satchel), even if it is designed to hold a firearm.
It is only the *combination* of a firearm placed *inside* an operational briefcase (or satchel), in such a manner that the firearm can be fired, which makes the combination of gun & case an AOW. This assumes of course the firearm inside is not a machine gun - in that event the combination of case and gun is still a machine gun. |

This is such a specialized item, it won't bring what you hope regarding price. The briefcases don't sell at $1500, which is as low as I've seen them asked for and there are a lot of them out there. This is certainly rarer, but probably won't sell even at that price unless you start a $1.00 on Gunbroker and let it ride.
