I have an MP5 with a tri-lug and have been trying to stick my YHM can on the end but the tri-lug is too fat.  Maybe by only a millimeter or two but still too big even if you apply significant pressure.  I know the tri-lug on the can is fine.  I have used it on many other tri-lug (non-HK) barrels with no issues.  Thoughts?

Sandpaper? Also, you sure it's the tri-lug and not some carbon built up in the blast baffle area?

German gun or clone?

Fairly common with coharies and some other clones..

I have a true HK 3-lug barrel as well as a RCM 3-lug... no issues with YHM mount.

It might be the thread protector that's too fat; those are easily and cheaply replaced.

My cohaire won't allow my 3 lug can to fit, my bobcat fits perfectly, my buddy's bobcat won't fit...

Seems there is quite a bit of variance in the aftermarket world. Thick paint could also be a culprit.

The only other question I'd have for you... Is it a .40/10mm? They look close to the same, but not quite.

My stamp came in a few weeks ago.  Dealer goes in back and grabbed a postie MP5 he has in back.  My 3 lug adapter wouldn't fit.  He kept trying it and eventually it went on.

I had a Coharie that wouldn't accept a 3lug FH. With a little force it got past the "hot spot" and went on.
