I know both is better... but might settle for a zenith mp5k pdw clone... size, form, and function seem to be more reasonable than the "worlds strongest .380"... but I love the 90s so much... the SD will forever be a grail gun for me along with an MP5/10 thanks for sharing! |

Thanks guys! I think the K vs. the SD comes down to the answer to a question you have to ask yourself. "Do I want my MP5 to be as quiet as possible?" If the answer is yes, get the SD. Otherwise, the K is probably the most practical. It's so compact, especially with an Omega 9K mounted on the front instead of that Octane .45 I have. Well, for the next two months anyway. |

It shoots great, though View Quote The cocking tube hanger for the handguard pin was off half a hole. I dont know how they got the pin in it when they shipped me the gun. Also, they welded the front sight to the cocking tube, and to the barrel. It uses a 9" barrel instead of 8.3" (factory-spec) so to make up the .7" on the cocking tube they had to lengthen it. I dont know why Vector welds up their front sights, I even asked them directly in an email and got a run-around answer. They also used a cut-down recoil rod and they peened the ends over to make "stops" and the carrier was tearing it up, so Jeff made a new one with a factory HK53 recoil spring. In all he made a new cocking tube "extension", put on a new hanger, new front sight with sling loop, new end cap, made a new recoil rod, faux pinned my trigger housing, engraved my NFA info, and refinished the gun. |

I ensured that I drilled far enough forward to reach the furthest bolt straight on and the second bolt could be reached running the allen wrench through the front hand guard pin hole. Farther forward is also easier to hit with your thumb. As my HD gun whose most likely use is at night its the bees knees. I've lugged AR15s around most of my adult life but for some reason this little thing is more intuitive to point shoot. Its boring accurate at intended ranges.
