Anyone have a handle on what this may be? Who sold these as named?

It is advertised as title states, "R1A1 Sporter 308/7.62x51," without any additional info on origin, importer or domestic assembler.

Price may be right if it is anything other than a monkey shop product.

These were sold by Century Arms Inc.  STG58 kit on one of usually three different receivers (Imbel - Best, CAI -Widow's Peak -OK or the Unibrow - maybe OK, or a Hesse - OK, maybe). The Hesse was OK if all the bugs were worked out by CAI before delivery.

Not a bad set-up if it was working before it was shipped.

Like I said, the Imbel version was best.

Mounting lug for flash hider was removed.

Ask for close up pictures of the upper receiver and post them up. How much are they asking?
