The baffles will end up looking like these

But I still need to make indexing cuts & clip, then heat treat.  The former will take a minute with 26 baffles total.  I was going to keep moving on them today, but sliced two of my fingers really good on strings of 17-4 that got snagged while clearing chips out of the pan, so I'm done for the day.

ECCO is doing a wonderful job! Need to send him a email on building out a F1 SUB gun can for me.

Not sure what all he has in the FA sub gun category but would like for my M11 to meter less than 140 with a can. Currently its 140ish with a GA Optimus.

Below Data courtesy of NFA talk and there awesome work.

Can someone PM me ECCO’s email? I couldn’t find any contact for him so I shot him a Facebook message and haven’t heard back yet.

Locking to get my baffled bored and final assembly.

Thanks!

I’d imagine he’s just super busy. He’s blown up because of the quality of his work. He’s also active over on form1suppressor.boards.net.

I try my best to respond within a day, but sometimes I just plain miss a message, or am about to respond and get pulled away by phone ringing, signature deliveries,  etc.  and plum forget, then it's a "read" message with no notification.  It's just me here handling every aspect of the business, and I get overwhelmed at times.  I apologize if I fail to get back to you; if you don't hear back after a couple days, hit me up again.

@Sixtysixdeuce I had a real quick question I wanted to know if you could answer. I'm in the process of clipping some 60* cones for a 30 cal can and wanted to know if you could share your clip dimensions (ie. width and trough depth).  Kinda been tossing around approximated numbers on the form 1 board, but wanted to see what you were clipping since you seem to get really good feedback on your cans and cores.

Right now the numbers in my head are 0.20" width by 0.30" depth (into the proxmial face).  It looks alright on paper, but I have only really seen dimensions on the DHC and this would be about twice that depth.

For .30 cal, I do .370 apertures (unless it's for an AK, those are bored to .440"), the single radius clip is done with a 3/16" ball end mill to a depth of .190-.220 depending on cone thickness, which varies by application, but typically .060"-.070" on a blast baffle and .040"-.045" for the rest.

.200" wide and .300" deep is big.  That's closer to what I use in my .375" cal Accipiter model with it's 50° baffles (.220" W x .250"-.280" D).

Those are just the numbers I was able to pull from my saker 7.62 using my digital calibers. And I get it, the shape is different on the saker baffle as well so that is something that I didn’t take into full consideration.

I don’t have a mill so it’s all going to be done with hand tools and maybe a cutoff wheel to allow purchase for my tool.

Thanks for the reply!

Yes, a long snout radial is gonna need a deeper cut than a conical baffle.

That sucks.

First little string of 17-4 I grabbed to pull off and it just sliced into the skin and meat.
Lesson learned the hard way.
Healed up quick as it was a clean cut. Now nothing but pliers to move the strings.

Ded thread. Most people just comment in the bigger ECCO thread that is 9 pages long.

Nick & Jerrica just repaired a Form 1 endcap for me after my dumb ass drilled it off-center.  ECCO was able to save it by slightly enlarging the hole diameter to make the exit concentric.  The work was priced extremely competitively (cheaper than a new endcap blank), turnaround was lightning fast, and they even re-coated the cap before sending it back.  Highly satisfied customer!

ETA: Just noticed this was a resurrected zombie thread, but bump anyway because ECCO deserves the credit.
